☆ Paris Week 1 ☆

Our next destination is Paris. Leaving London was so hard, but we were excited for our next adventure. I still miss London because it feels more like a home to me, but I also love Paris.

TUESDAY

We were going to climb the Arc de Triomphe but, unfortunately, the workers were on strike. I wasn’t too upset though because I had just met Penelope Garcia from Criminal Minds and I was on cloud 9. We walked around Champs Elysées for a bit, window shopped and ate some really good macaroons. We also walked through the Tuileries Gardens on our way to La Saint Chapelle, which was beautiful. After class we went out with a few other girls in our group and got food because we were starving after not eating for about 7 hours.

I actually had a lot of questions from people asking where I got this dress. I bought it from Urban Outfitters. It’s really comfortable but in the heat it felt a lot heavier than I anticipated. I love this dress though so I will still wear whether its 90 degrees or 60.

WEDNESDAY

We had some classwork to do on Wednesday morning, but in the afternoon we went to the top of the Eiffel Tower. I only made it to the second level because I don’t like heights. Later that night we went back to the park in front of the Eiffel tower and sat and ate ice cream for a little until the lighting was perfect for some photos. It was so peaceful and we are hoping to spend more nights like these.

This dress is also from Urban Outfitters (They should sponsor me I’m obsessed). I would normally wear this outfit with some wedges but I didn’t get the chance to go back to my apartment to change my shoes.

THURSDAY

We went to a cemetery which was cool I guess if you want to walk around dead people. For lunch we went to this amazing falafel restaurant and it was the best thing ever I need to go back. We decided to stay and walk around that area after. There were rainbow flags all over the streets and rainbows were even painted on the roads next to the crosswalks for gay pride. It was such a great community and I really want to go back on a day that I have more energy.

I only took one picture of my outfit because I suck but I wore my overall dress from New Look and a simple white t-shirt underneath.

FRIDAY

We went to Versailles which was incredible. The hall of mirrors was stunning but I couldn’t really get a good picture because it was packed, which is not fun if you are claustrophobic btw. It has been so cool to actually step foot in the places that you learn so much about in school.

I wore my black crop top from Zara and the skirt that I stole from my mom that I featured in my Mother’s day blog. If you haven’t read it, she bought it from a designer in NYC. I wore my Steve Madden platforms which was a mistake considering we were walking on very uneven ground for most of our time here. If you ever find yourself at Versailles I highly suggest wearing sneakers.

SATURDAY

Saturday was our shopping day, but in the evening we got together with some other girls in our group and had a picnic at the Eiffel Tower. This was one of my favorite nights so far. We drank some Rosé and watched the tower light up. I definitely need to do this again because it was surreal.

I literally bought everything I’m wearing that day. My shoes are FILA and yes I splurged but I have wanted these for so long and I found some with roses on them so I obviously had to buy them. My top and pants are both from Pull&Bear which is a company that you can only find in Europe. It was probably the only store we could find that was actually affordable and not an American store.

☆ Prints and Patterns ☆

It’s that time of the year again when the weather gets warmer and I like to experiment with patterns more. I usually like to stick to my safe and simple shirts, but this time of year has me feeling a bit more daring.

This outfit is probably my favorite out of the two. My striped top is from Lifestyle Clothiers. I think the cut of this top is so flattering and could honestly look good on anyone. It’s really lightweight which is perfect for summer so I’ll definitely be wearing this top a lot! I just recently picked up these jeans from Forever 21. I saw them weeks ago but they never had my size, but considering I go to the mall basically everyday, I finally found my size! The shoes I am wearing are my Steve Madden platform sandals (and yes I tripped multiple times walking in this field).

Can we just appreciate my beautiful tattoo that I got at Tattoo 13, I’m obsessed.

Image 5-31-18 at 2.52 PM

I feel like this outfit would be perfect for a casual grad party or any casual day. You could dress this outfit up with white jeans or a different skirt if you wanted. This shirt is also from Lifestyle Clothiers. It has a similar cut to the first shirt. I wore a white bralette under both of these due to the low cut.

Image 5-31-18 at 2.44 PM

My skirt is from Topshop and it’s definitely more on the casual side. I love the distressed look and mixing it with a nicer looking top. I’m also wearing the Steve Madden Sandals again because I’m too broke to buy more shoes :/.

☆ Red n’ Retro ☆

We all know I’m extra af so when we made plans to go to this retro diner I had to go full out with my outfit. But I wanted to add a hint of modern.

I have been obsessed with denim on denim for forever and I honestly don’t know if I’ll ever get over this trend. My jean skirt is from American Apparel. It’s a decent length so you don’t have to worry about flashing anyone. My jean jacket is from Topshop and it’s such a staple item. Everyone needs the perfect jean jacket. If you think you don’t, you’re lying to yourself. I also have on my white mules from Express that I featured in my shoe haul blog post. Also, I felt super awkward in these pictures because this couple was staring at me yikes.

This white top is from Forever 21. Can you tell I’m obsessed with basic white tops? I have been looking for a top like this for a while but I couldn’t find one that I loved so I’m so happy I found one at forever (literally bought this yesterday).

I also had to break out my cat eye sunglasses from Urban Outfitters of course.

✿ Mother’s Day: Shopping in My Mom’s Closet ✿

It’s almost Mother’s Day! To celebrate all the moms out there I decided to raid my own mom’s closet today! Growing up, I got my sense of style from my mom and over the years I made it into my own, yet I still find myself stealing clothes out of her closet way too often. We honestly share most of our clothes anyway.

Image 5-12-18 at 3.38 PM

For my first outfit I mixed girly with edgy by adding this leather jacket on top of this super feminine dress. The jacket is from Topshop and the dress is by Bailey, purchased from a local boutique called Rear Ends.

I feel like every mom owns a basic pearl necklace. These necklaces are from an artist market in NYC. Fun fact, these necklaces were worn in Pretty Little Liars and 90210!

Image 5-12-18 at 3.43 PM

My second outfit is definitely full on girly. I remember needing a skirt in middle school and my mom showed me this one and I thought it was hideous. Now I am obsessed with it and I think I need to steal it. She bought this skirt from a designer at a boutique in Soho, NYC. My tie top is from Forever 21 (it’s not my moms sorry to let you down).

Image 5-12-18 at 3.44 PMImage 5-12-18 at 3.45 PMImage 5-12-18 at 3.46 PM

I mean seriously look at this skirt. It’s so delicate yet it makes such a statement.

☆ 3 Ways to Style a Simple White T-shirt ☆

My favorite thing lately is spicing up a simple outfit with some fun pants, so I was inspired to create 3 different looks with the same white T-shirt. I feel like staple pieces are so important because one article of clothing can make an entire outfit.

In my first outfit I wanted to keep it casual. I decided to wear these blue striped pants from Brandy Melville. Brandy is my favorite brand for very simple and cheap clothes and I have been shopping there for years.

Image 5-5-18 at 5.04 PM.jpg

My platform sandals are Steve Madden. I hate heels so I always go for the platforms because they give you the height without the pain.

The sunglasses I am wearing for this outfit and all the others are from Urban Outfitters. These are the first sunglasses that I have ever liked on me because I usually look awful in sunglasses. The hat I am wearing is from Forever 21.

For my second outfit I chose these super fun silver pants. These are my favorite pants and they were literally so cheap from Forever 21.

I’m also wearing the white boots from my last post that I picked up from Express. I never really shopped at Express until recently but I actually love their stuff, who knew??

Image 5-5-18 at 5.09 PM

Also huge shoutout to whoever’s car this is, it was perfect for my pictures.

The third outfit is a little bit dressy. I got this skirt from Urban Outfitters because I thought it was perfect for the spring.

I kept the white boots on for this outfit because they’re super comfortable and I wanted to show how versatile they are. I also feel like they dress this outfit down a little

☆ What’s in My Purse ☆

Bag:

I got this purse from Free People last summer and it is my go to bag. It’s small and light but fits everything I need. I also have really been obsessed with snake skin patterns recently.

Beauty:

These products are my life savers and they are small enough to fit in my teeny tiny purse. The lip gloss is from a local makeup shop called About Face. My lipstick is Mac in the shade “Hug Me”. I also have this spray on highlight from Sephora that I like to use on my collar bones and shoulders. This is honestly my biggest tip if you want to look glowy but not greasy. The perfume I have is Lait De Coco from Urban Outfitters and it is the first perfume that I have ever loved. I’m not kidding, if you know me you know that I’m obsessed with this stuff.

Essentials:

Well I obviously always have my wallet. I got this adorable snake skin wallet from Urban Outfitters. It is nice that it fits a lot but it is pretty obnoxiously big. I also never leave the house without my Burts Bees chapstick. And of course you need a cute little portable deodorant for emergencies (or to help a girl out). I highly recommend the cucumber scent.

Randoms:Honestly these should be under essentials because you should never leave the house without finger hands and headphones. I’m always depressed when I have to walk to class without music. Also the hands are just fun okay.

☆ My Shoe Haul ☆

☆ I have been looking for the perfect pair of white shoes for so long and I recently found TWO!! White shoes are perfect because they go with almost everything and they’re super in right now. I’m not gonna lie, I’m going to Europe this summer and I thought these would be perfect so I obviously had to buy them, right? ☆

☆ These white booties from Express are super comfortable and versatile. I never really trusted shoes from Express because I always thought they would be uncomfortable but these definitely changed my mind. I swear I have been wearing my adidas almost every day for years so these were much needed. I’m wearing them to a fashion show and I’m honestly more excited about these shoes than my outfit. I feel like you could style these shoes with almost every outfit so I’m going to get a lot of use out of them. ☆

☆ Mules!! Okay remember in like 2007 when we all wore clogs? These remind me of those (I honestly had to look up what these were called). These shoes are also from Express and they are my everything. The clear heel just completes the shoe and makes it so trendy. I can’t wait to wear these with colorful spring skirts and dresses or even dress them down a bit with some jean shorts and a cute button down top. ☆

☆ Let me know if you would like to see a future blog about how I style these shoes! ☆
